Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horse In A Stable by Ivan Pokhitonov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,034.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivan Pokhitonov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sur la plage in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 477,757.47).

Die Arbeit Horse In A Stable von Ivan Pokhitonov wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.034,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ivan Pokhitonov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sur la plage im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 409.250,00 (€ 477.757,47).
