This artwork by Ivan Ivanovich Godlevsky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2021. In the Impressionist & Modern Art auction, the work Tchekhov's Bay at Night sold for USD 11,340.00 (€ 9,571.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ivan Ivanovich Godlevsky; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bay of Tchekhov sold at auction in February 2005 with the realized price of USD 16,800.00 (€ 12,656.32).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ivan Ivanovich Godlevsky erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
