Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2004 Christies in New York held the auction IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN ART, which included the work Tchekhov's Bay at night by Ivan Ivanovich Godlevsky. The price achieved of USD 6,572.50 (€ 5,282.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivan Ivanovich Godlevsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bay of Tchekhov, which sold at auction in February 2005 for USD 16,800.00 (€ 12,656.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tchekhov's Bay at night von Ivan Ivanovich Godlevsky zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.572,50 (€ 5.282,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivan Ivanovich Godlevsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bay of Tchekhov beobachtet, die im Februar 2005 für USD 16.800,00 (€ 12.656,32) versteigert wurde.
