Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The hunt by Ivan Bilibin was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,045.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivan Bilibin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tsaritsa Militrissa in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 150,500.00 (€ 210,738.94).
