Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Isshaq Ismail achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Zubair sold for GBP 40,640.00 (€ 46,235.85) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isshaq Ismail have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nkabom 2 in March last year with an auction result of GBP 277,200.00 (€ 328,651.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Isshaq Ismail erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Zubair für GBP 40.640,00 (€ 46.235,85) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isshaq Ismail auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nkabom 2 im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 277.200,00 (€ 328.651,80).
