Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work The Angry Wife (G. 406; L., Holl. 504) by Israhel van Meckenem. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,381.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Israhel van Meckenem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bust of an Oriental Man in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 70,935.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Angry Wife (G. 406; L., Holl. 504) von Israhel van Meckenem zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.381,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Israhel van Meckenem erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bust of an Oriental Man im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 70.935,92).
