Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Saint Hubert by Israhel van Meckenem was auctioned at Christies in New York in January this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,641.74). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Israhel van Meckenem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bust of an Oriental Man in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 70,935.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Saint Hubert von Israhel van Meckenem kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.641,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Israhel van Meckenem erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bust of an Oriental Man im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 70.935,92).
