This work without title by Israel Lund was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,934.44), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Israel Lund have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 141,092.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Israel Lund wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.934,44) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Israel Lund auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 141.092,54).
