The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,626.92), 72% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Israel Lund achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 141,092.54).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Rob e rt s&T ilt on 1) von Israel Lund wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.626,92) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Israel Lund erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 141.092,54).
