Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A summer landscape by Isaak Levitan was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2008. The price achieved of GBP 46,850.00 (€ 59,219.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaak Levitan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Illumination of the Kremlin in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,500.00 (€ 2,224,310.97).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 46.850,00 (€ 59.219,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaak Levitan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Illumination of the Kremlin im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.588.500,00 (€ 2.224.310,97).
