Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Isaac Witkin was sold in the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,120.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaac Witkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nagas in November last year with an auction result of USD 82,275.00 (€ 79,700.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Isaac Witkin wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.120,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaac Witkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nagas im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 82.275,00 (€ 79.700,67).
