This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Online at Bonhams and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaac Witkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nagas in November last year with an auction result of USD 82,275.00 (€ 79,700.67).

Die Arbeit Study for Hawthorn Tree Variation II von Isaac Witkin war einem Käufer im Februar diesen Jahres USD 5.355,00 (€ 5.050,93) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Bonhams erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaac Witkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nagas im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 82.275,00 (€ 79.700,67).
