The work Trascriziona, Zeitungsdoppelseite by Irma Blank was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,930.50), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Irma Blank have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abecedarium 17-8-90 in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 110,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Trascriziona, Zeitungsdoppelseite von Irma Blank wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.930,50) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Irma Blank auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abecedarium 17-8-90 im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 110.000,00.
