Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Irene Chou was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,397.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Irene Chou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Universe Lies Within, which sold at auction in June 2015 for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,598.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Irene Chou kam im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.397,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Irene Chou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Universe Lies Within beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.598,44) versteigert wurde.
