Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Universe is My Mind by Irene Chou. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 88,200.00 (€ 11,476.91). Admittedly, works by Irene Chou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Universe Lies Within in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,598.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Universe is My Mind von Irene Chou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 88.200,00 (€ 11.476,91) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Irene Chou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Universe Lies Within im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.598,44).
