Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Blooming by Irene Chou. It changed hands for a price of HKD 88,200.00 (€ 10,569.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Irene Chou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Universe Lies Within in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,598.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blooming von Irene Chou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 88.200,00 (€ 10.569,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Irene Chou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Universe Lies Within im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.598,44).
