Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Universe is in My Mind by Irene Chou was sold in the A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,703.40), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Irene Chou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Universe Lies Within in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,598.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Universe is in My Mind von Irene Chou wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.703,40) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Irene Chou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Universe Lies Within im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.598,44).
