In April 2019 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work White Rain by Inka Essenhigh. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,359.95), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Inka Essenhigh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Adoration in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 132,000.00 (€ 106,891.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im April 2019 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Rain von Inka Essenhigh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.359,95) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Inka Essenhigh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Adoration im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.000,00 (€ 106.891,25).
