Auction result misses estimated price range

In June 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Watching the Moon from a Bridge over a Ravine and Pine-Clad Path throught the Sacred Mountains by Ike Taiga for GBP 896.25 (€ 1,333.89). This price was achieved in the auction JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN INCLUDING ARTS OF THE SAMURAI at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ike Taiga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shun'un shusshu (Mountain peak in spring haze) in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 50,190.00 (€ 46,045.87).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Juni 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Watching the Moon from a Bridge over a Ravine and Pine-Clad Path throught the Sacred Mountains von Ike Taiga für GBP 896,25 (€ 1.333,89) erwerben.
