This work of art by Ike Taiga could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Gekka seison senko o tameru (Purity under the moon for eternity) changed hands for USD 35,850.00 (€ 21,727.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00.
