The work Chinese scholars enjoying a waterfall deep in the mountains by Ike Taiga was sold in the Japanese And Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2008. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 9,490.67) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ike Taiga have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shun'un shusshu (Mountain peak in spring haze) in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 50,190.00 (€ 46,045.87).

Die Arbeit Chinese scholars enjoying a waterfall deep in the mountains von Ike Taiga wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion Japanese And Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 9.490,67) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ike Taiga auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shun'un shusshu (Mountain peak in spring haze) im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.190,00 (€ 46.045,87).
