In November last year Il Ponte held the auction Arte moderna e contemporanea, which included the work Iniziazione by Igor Mitoraj. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 95,000.00 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Igor Mitoraj have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work For Hadrian in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 584,000.00 (€ 529,513.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Il Ponte die Auktion Arte moderna e contemporanea durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iniziazione von Igor Mitoraj zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 95.000,00 und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Igor Mitoraj auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit For Hadrian im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 584.000,00 (€ 529.513,10).
