Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Beetle Sphere by Ichwan Noor was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 441,000.00 (€ 52,858.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ichwan Noor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beetle Sphere, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 112,601.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Beetle Sphere von Ichwan Noor kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 441.000,00 (€ 52.858,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ichwan Noor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beetle Sphere beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 112.601,48) versteigert wurde.
