The work Beetle Sphere by Ichwan Noor was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The price achieved of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 71,143.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00. Other works by Ichwan Noor have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2018 the work Beetle Sphere was auctioned for HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 112,601.48).
