A top price for Ian Monroe - as previously expected
In December 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Stem by Ian Monroe. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,095.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Stem is the most expensive artwork by Ian Monroe that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stem von Ian Monroe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 5.095,61) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Stem das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ian Monroe, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
