Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work New Monument by Ian Monroe for GBP 625.00 (€ 760.06). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ian Monroe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stem in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,095.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit New Monument von Ian Monroe für GBP 625,00 (€ 760,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ian Monroe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stem im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 5.095,61).
