Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work These Wanton / Wantan Games by Ian Monroe for GBP 1,764.00 (€ 2,068.66). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ian Monroe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stem, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,095.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit These Wanton / Wantan Games von Ian Monroe für GBP 1.764,00 (€ 2.068,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ian Monroe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stem beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 5.095,61) versteigert wurde.
