Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hero Vs Hero (Jago Neon) by Nyoman Masriadi was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The price achieved of HKD 2,394,000.00 (€ 256,315.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,900,000.00 – 3,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nyoman Masriadi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Man From Bantul (The Final Round), which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 7,820,000.00 (€ 795,442.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hero Vs Hero (Jago Neon) von Nyoman Masriadi wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.394.000,00 (€ 256.315,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.900.000,00 – 3.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nyoman Masriadi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 7.820.000,00 (€ 795.442,36) versteigert wurde.
