The work Masriadi is the Winner by Nyoman Masriadi was sold in the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 945,000.00 (€ 113,244.53), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nyoman Masriadi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 7,820,000.00 (€ 795,442.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Masriadi is the Winner von Nyoman Masriadi wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 945.000,00 (€ 113.244,53) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nyoman Masriadi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.820.000,00 (€ 795.442,36).
