Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Not Bad by Nyoman Masriadi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The price achieved of HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 139,555.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nyoman Masriadi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 7,820,000.00 (€ 795,442.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Not Bad von Nyoman Masriadi wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.260.000,00 (€ 139.555,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nyoman Masriadi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.820.000,00 (€ 795.442,36).
