Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Solar Wind Effect by Nyoman Masriadi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,600,000.00 – 2,600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 200,022.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nyoman Masriadi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Man From Bantul (The Final Round), which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 7,820,000.00 (€ 795,442.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Solar Wind Effect von Nyoman Masriadi kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.600.000,00 – 2.600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 200.022,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Nyoman Masriadi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 7.820.000,00 (€ 795.442,36) versteigert wurde.
