Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Knave Of Clubs by Humphrey Spender was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,671.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Humphrey Spender - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sails At Rab, which sold at auction in March 2008 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,967.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Knave Of Clubs von Humphrey Spender kam im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.671,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Humphrey Spender mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sails At Rab beobachtet, die im März 2008 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.967,18) versteigert wurde.
