In March 2018 Christies in London held the auction Modern | British & Irish Art, which included the work Arterial Man by Humphrey Spender. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,692.78), 43% above the upper estimate. Other works by Humphrey Spender have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,967.18) in March 2008 for the work Sails At Rab.
