A top price for Humphrey Spender - as previously expected
The work Sails At Rab by Humphrey Spender was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2008. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,967.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sails At Rab is the most expensive artwork by Humphrey Spender that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Sails At Rab von Humphrey Spender kam im März 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.967,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Sails At Rab das teuerste Kunstwerk von Humphrey Spender, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
