Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2007 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Hugo Weber for USD 3,600.00 (€ 2,721.09). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Hugo Weber have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chicago in July 2006 with an auction result of USD 14,400.00 (€ 11,281.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2007 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hugo Weber für USD 3.600,00 (€ 2.721,09) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hugo Weber auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chicago im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.400,00 (€ 11.281,73).
