Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hugo Robus achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2007. In the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work 'Dawn' sold for USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hugo Robus; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 'Paean' sold at auction in December 2010 with the realized price of USD 68,500.00 (€ 51,624.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hugo Robus erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit 'Dawn' für USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hugo Robus; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit 'Paean' im Dezember 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 51.624,09).
