Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Dawn (Yawning Figure) by Hugo Robus. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,346.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Other works by Hugo Robus have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2010 the work 'Paean' was auctioned for USD 68,500.00 (€ 51,624.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dawn (Yawning Figure) von Hugo Robus zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.346,81) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Hugo Robus konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2010 die Arbeit 'Paean' für USD 68.500,00 (€ 51.624,09) versteigert.
