This artwork by Huang Yao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2010. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape in the Style of Song Dynasty sold for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,645.29) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Yao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Riding the Dragon in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 740,000.00 (€ 73,374.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Yao erzielte im November 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Landscape in the Style of Song Dynasty für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.645,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Yao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Riding the Dragon im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 740.000,00 (€ 73.374,33).
