Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brother and Sister, No. 3 by Huang Yan was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in September 2013. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,988.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Yan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tattoo Series, Plants in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
