Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Karaoke by Hu Yongkai was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Paris in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 21,420.00 (€ 2,502.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Yongkai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lady in April this year with an auction result of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Karaoke von Hu Yongkai wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 21.420,00 (€ 2.502,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Yongkai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lady im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04).
