A top price for Hu Yongkai
The work Lady by Hu Yongkai was worth HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04) to a buyer in April this year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Lady the most expensive artwork by Hu Yongkai that we have observed at auctions so far.
