Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hu Yongkai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in February this year. In the Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Pondering sold for HKD 69,300.00 (€ 8,327.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hu Yongkai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lady in April this year with an auction result of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hu Yongkai erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Pondering für HKD 69.300,00 (€ 8.327,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hu Yongkai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lady im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04).
