The work Primal by Howard Mehring was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2019. It achieved a price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,423.54), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Howard Mehring - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Solar, which sold at auction in March 2016 for USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,093.06).

Die Arbeit Primal von Howard Mehring kam im Mai 2019 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.423,54) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Für andere Arbeiten von Howard Mehring mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Solar beobachtet, die im März 2016 für USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.093,06) versteigert wurde.
