Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Unfaithful Man And Woman (Set Of Four) by Hou Junming was sold in the Contemporary Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 475,000.00 (€ 48,316.51), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hou Junming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New Paradise (Set Of Seven), which sold at auction in October 2007 for HKD 1,807,500.00 (€ 161,160.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Unfaithful Man And Woman (Set Of Four) von Hou Junming wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 48.316,51) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hou Junming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit New Paradise (Set Of Seven) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für HKD 1.807.500,00 (€ 161.160,84) versteigert wurde.
