Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Qiang Li Gang Jiao (Tormented Love) by Hou Junming. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 31,000.00 (€ 19,614.05). Admittedly, works by Hou Junming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New Paradise (Set Of Seven) in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,807,500.00 (€ 161,160.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Qiang Li Gang Jiao (Tormented Love) von Hou Junming zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 31.000,00 (€ 19.614,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hou Junming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New Paradise (Set Of Seven) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.807.500,00 (€ 161.160,84).
