This artwork by Hou Junming achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. In the Contemporary Chinese Art II auction, the work House Of Brilliance sold for HKD 787,500.00 (€ 64,899.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hou Junming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New Paradise (Set Of Seven), which sold at auction in October 2007 for HKD 1,807,500.00 (€ 161,160.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 97 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hou Junming erzielte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art II wurde die Arbeit House Of Brilliance für HKD 787.500,00 (€ 64.899,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hou Junming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit New Paradise (Set Of Seven) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für HKD 1.807.500,00 (€ 161.160,84) versteigert wurde.
