Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sin and Punishment in Hong Kong by Hou Chun-Ming was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,122.68). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hou Chun-Ming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work God Rod, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 787,500.00 (€ 64,832.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sin and Punishment in Hong Kong von Hou Chun-Ming wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.122,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hou Chun-Ming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit God Rod beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 787.500,00 (€ 64.832,10) versteigert wurde.
