Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Still Life in the Room by Hou Chun-Ming. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,718.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hou Chun-Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work God Rod in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 787,500.00 (€ 64,832.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life in the Room von Hou Chun-Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.718,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hou Chun-Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit God Rod im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 787.500,00 (€ 64.832,10).
