In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Journal By Pillow by Hou Chun-Ming. The result of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,481.11) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hou Chun-Ming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work God Rod in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 787,500.00 (€ 64,832.10).
