In May 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Shan Yue Ji by Hou Chun-Ming. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 12,348.97) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hou Chun-Ming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work God Rod in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 787,500.00 (€ 64,832.10).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shan Yue Ji von Hou Chun-Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 12.348,97) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hou Chun-Ming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit God Rod im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 787.500,00 (€ 64.832,10).
